Sub Maya Hai............................

BJP is one party that surprises me a lot. They have new ways in every thing they do. The latest one is about making one of their chief minister God. No other country can ever attempt this other than our secular India. With their good deeds these guys are now in a better postion than any body else. They are well placed and soon they will have temples. They will demolish places of worship telling that their leader was born in the place. My imagination is taking me to places. Here are few

  1. There will be statues all over India with Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Brahma, the creator since he is very creative( writes unwanted poems) Advani as Lord Vishnu the preserver and Praveen Togadia as Lord Shiva the destructor.

  2. Babu Bhai Katara as “Rakshasa” Ravan as he tries to traffic Human Beings in the latest Pushpak Vimana ie Air India.

  3. Narendra Modi as Lord Parashurama who is beheading all Muslim Fundamentalists.

  4. Rajnath Singh is the Game maker Lord Indra

  5. Narad is none other than Arun Jaitley

  6. Muqthar Abbas Naqvi is “Lord” Vibhishna who has defaulted from his family and joined Lord Ram MrShekawat( Decency still intact)

  7. Mahakali Uma Bharathi has already left the stream and made a new party.

With the list going on and with the number of Gods in Hindu mythology and all over world there can be no difficulty in finding a duplicate for them in BJP. I am surprised what all the Bhajan songs will be for these great leaders. One will be the following

Om jai vasundhara ji namahe swami Om Vajpayee

Bhakt Janom Mein Advani

Bhakt janon mein ....

Infact people I believe the Kalki yuga is where you can get Moksha and with so many Human Gods floating around there is no looking back. At every election they will have utsavs and do not hesitate to worship them with votes. Check near a seat near you when you are sitting in a Bus, train or anywhere and try to be on their feet. Worship them, help them and get something from them.

“No wonder Politicians are Gods. You can only tell them your complaints. They will not reply back. Pray to them, feed them and cry, they will never listen”

Aunty Bhi Kabhi Young Thi.....

My aunt and Uncle came from Trivandrum with a mission of seeing Bangalore and Mysore. It was in effect opportunity for me to prove that I am the real guide with in house expertise in travel and tourist destinations. For the present my brain analyzed permutation and combination and to make their trip a really purposeful one, I decided to take them to Mysore. The story anyways is not about the travel but an interesting part on the interesting psyche of a 60 yr old normal woman’s world view.

We had our last destination in Mysore, the Brindavan Gardens. Here there was an interesting couple, who were involved so romantically that they actually forgot the people around them. This invited serious looks from my aunt who was naturally more affected due to the excesses. Her face had so many expressions that were a mixture of hate, surprise and anger. I never posted any questions at that juncture and tried to catch a nap so that I feel fit for the journey back to Bangalore.

After a very peaceful drive, when we are about to enter Bangalore my aunt had another chance to see some of this totally romantically addicted couples. I had an intuition that this is coming and it came.

Aunt: These people have nothing to do. I feel they are not married.
Me: Yes. True. They are totally in love
Aunt: How can they love before marriage? These are dirty people
Me: They are having fun but
Aunt: They do not belong to good family.
Me: They have pretty decent clothes. It seems to me they are well off.
Aunt: What is the use?
Me: It protects them from cold and heat.
Aunt: I am not talking about clothes.
MeJ Yes I know
Aunt: I saw the same thing in Lal bagh
Me: What?
Aunt: These dirty ones and they have T-Shirts over their navals
Me: The Guys?
Aunt: No the Girls
Me(silently thinking): It would have been good. Did they pierce anything?
Aunt: They make a mockery of their culture. Dirty Ones.
Me: Aunt but why do u talk about the culture?
Aunt: We never lived like that.
Me: So u did not have any chance?
Aunt: What chance?
Me: Opportunites
Aunt: I did not understand(Silent look from my Dad to me)
Me: Fine. When did u get married?
Aunt: 20
Me: Did u go to college?
Aunt: When?
Me: At any time
Aunt:No
Me: Ok
Me: Now the world is free. We are free people and we can live on our terms. Boys and girls are equal/
Aunt: They are dirty. They are hanging around after 10
Me: It is good right. The city is safe.
Aunt: Yes that is true.
Aunt: But
Me: What? Do you watch the daily soaps in TV
Aunt: I watch almost all
Me: What do u see in that?
Aunt:
Me: Aunt
Aunt to Mom: Now they also show ladies with 2 husbands. Oh all the dirty ones.

Me: Here it goes. I feel in most of the films the hero and heroine is not married. When they get married it is THE END.

Aunt: They are the dirty ones though
Aunt: These movies and serials.
Me: U also watch them
Aunt: These days girls are worse. They corrupt guys also.
Uncle: Enough.
Me: Did u get corrupt?
UncleJ
Aunt: Fine we will not allow any of the girls in Bangalore to get married to any of our kids

Me: Sorry I will marry according to my wish
Aunt: He also would have some girl friends. The dirty ones
Me: __$#%#(silently)
Dad: Check the girls for your bro in Bharat Matrimony once u reach home

HandsUp.............I have a gun behind you

Noting down the events like Richard Gere kissing Shilpa shetty, jailing an art student for having painted nude pictures; it seems people are getting more and more polarized in terms of religion, caste and region. This I believe is a recent identification problem with in India due to the country’s growth engine which is accelerating year after year.. The liberal and rational mind has taken a backseat owing to the vast number of people trying to gain acceptance due to identity crisis.

The number of Television channels in India has grown so rapidly that lot of information floats around which unfortunately people are made to breathe. Also this has created a series competition to decide on what is news? The result of people trying to be creative is more often reflected on the moral front. Media knows that Sex is a kind of taboo and that with the world’s largest growing population being interested in the same needs to reconfirm that we are different and that the Indians have a culture. Modesty of a woman has been the forefront in these campaigns.

Morality is something that is a by product of religion and with the mixtures of religion that we find in India it is strongly advised that all acts as to be very cautious. Hence I could coin that the branding of religion is one thing that has become a part of 60 yr old India. The point is simple. If Muslims are passionate about their religion which they marketed well during the Prophet Cartoon controversy Hindus do not want to be left behind. They took to the paintings of Husain and now on a student who wants to announce that he has arrived. Even christians are not left far behind as was evident in the DaVinci Code protests.

I had a look at paintings in what can be called a fanatic site of Hindu Jagaran Samathi(http://www.hindujagruti.org/). Except for a painting that depicts Hanuman carrying Sita in the tail almost all pictures were in acceptable standards. Their version is why Prophet Mohammed is not drawn like that and that most of temples in India never show their deities as naked and only exception probably would be Mother Kaali who is semi naked. My curiosity was to check on the Khajuraho and Ajanta paintings. After going through most of sites that I felt genuine, I feel the pictures depict human figures and not the Gods. The identity crisis is for an individual who believes in supernatural power, is that it exists in one or many planes higher than what he is. Hence he feels that his mind which is prone to desires cannot accept all the truths that formed in him due to the inability to ask questions.

Now with floodgates open in the form of information there is confusion everywhere. There are experiences you can know just by sitting in the house. Indian think tank in the 1950’s were trying to protect his people from change and trying to give them a routine life. This was like a parent trying to protect his kids. Genuinely the kids should grow and protect the parent. The parents turned old and kids did not have freedom and neither could they protect them. The kids had some kind of formal training and when he went out this somewhat helped him initially. Now the kid is confused as what to give back and his notion about the world has changed all of a sudden. He knows his parent is a looser and constantly irritates because he tried to protect him and never prepared for the world. Those who were protected remained in their domain and they never liked their fellow brothers who has ventured out.

The guys who stayed in finally became the guys without identity. They have to find an identity which eventually turned out to be religion, sect and caste. Fact is that they still need security. Hence what they felt is that the guys who went out did not help them. In one way they want to be protected. In effect morality, love, brotherhood, team work, reservation was all preached. The best way was to tell like this. “Please move the stone and we will be in the comfortable zone”. In one way the philosophy of the guys who moved the stone was that they will be making the rules. Hence each group tried to fight with each other. For one the weapon was money and the other it was the group they belong to.

The prayer is simple. “Hey God I will dress you in clothes, give you beautiful, dignified wives. I will respect you. Give me a girl like Shilpa Shetty; give me some talent to attract beautiful girls. Please make me feel the comfort. Let me get food for free and let me sleep with beautiful woman. Till I get all this I will not allow anybody else to have this”.
